Leadership is an important attribute among the most successful employers and employees. Today, the world is changing and so are the leaders and ways of leading.

The old strategies have proved to be inadequate to the present world; people have become cynical and disillusioned with their institutions and many think that women are the ones who can get us through to the next phase of our planetary existence.

There are many charismatic leaders out there – presidents of countries, captains of sports teams, heads of business conglomerates – these are the leaders who have loyal followers.


They are not limited to either gender, to any religion, to race or to nationality. According to many people, they need feminine qualities in the influential and effective leaders – the qualities that incorporated by women such as collaboration, encouragement, listening ability and, above all, integrity. It doesn't mean that men are omitted, but it’s just that women's power will help to bring forward their feminine qualities.

Not everyone is born with the ability to inspire others. In fact, many people who display effective leadership aren't born with a super power or knowledge. Instead, good leaders learn from what they are taught, what they experience, and from any other useful source. These leaders can assess which leadership skills are required for any given situation. They know when to listen as well as when to negotiate. They know what communication skills should be used and when motivation is required. Hence, here are some easy and useful tips for women leaders to become an effective leader.

Be true to yourself and develop your own style of leadership, a style that you are comfortable with. If that style doesn't fit with your company, then find another company.


  • Be clear about your basic values and career intentions. Be kind to yourself if you make a mistake.
  • Recognize the talents and skills you have and focus on delivering results.
  • Never define yourself by your job title by the skills which you bring to a role and be prepared to move jobs and sectors.
  • Find people who believe in you to support you and who can partner you.
  • Know where you can resource things; you won't know everything but make sure you know where to go for help and support and in return be prepared to support other women and next generation.
  • Don't just work hard; think you'll be noticed and make sure you get noticed.
  • It's tough to lead a team or a company, invest in yourself, love what you do, and take care of your health!
