Andrea Jung is a Chinese-American business executive who born in 1959 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Her family shifted to Wellesley, Massachusetts, when Andrea Jung was no more than two years old. Jung's father was born in Hong Kong and was an architect and mother was born in Shanghai and was a chemical engineer. Andrea Jung has one younger brother named Mark. When Jung was adolescent, Andrea considered not only the normal subjects presented at a Massachusetts school, as well as considered the Mandarin language. When she was only five years old, she also began to learn a piano lesson which was trained by her mother.


Andrea Jung is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Avon Products, Inc. She is in charge for executing and developing of the company’s long-term expansion strategies, rising earnings opportunities for women worldwide, launching new brand programs and defining Avon as the leading straight vendor of beauty products. Ms. Andrea Jung was selected as CEO in 1999 and designated Chairman in 2001. She has been a part of the Board of Directors since January 1998. From 1996 to 1998, she climbed to superior level positions within Avon’s merchandise marketing group, where she oversaw development and research, strategic planning, market research, alliances and joint ventures.

In the year of 2001, she was named one of the 30 most influential women in America by Ladies Home Journal. She became the earliest woman designated as a chair of the Cosmetic, Fragrance Association and Toiletry in March 2001, this responsibility she detained until early 2005. She at present worked at Apple and positioned on the General Electric Company’s Board of Directors and is member of the Catalyst Board of Directors and an associate of the New York Presbyterian Hospital Board of Trustees.

Ms. Andrea Jung received the 2010 Clinton Global Citizen Award for the corporate sector, which is aware of creative thinker leadership in solving vital worldwide challenges. In 2010, she was ranked fifth on Fortune magazines and listed 50 positioned as a Most Powerful Women in Business, which she has been on since its beginning, and ranked second on the Financial Times. Since becoming CEO of Avon, Jung has become recognized for her businesslike demeanor, professional, and for her original thoughts.
